How did we get started?

Yogasleep started in 1962 with love and a dog bowl! Our founder, Jim Buckwalter, was a traveling salesman. His insomniac wife liked to travel with him. She learned that the soothing lull of the air conditioner unit helped her get to sleep. Jim loved to tinker, & got to work creating the very first sound machine that replicated the constant whirring noise of moving air with none of the disturbance of actual moving air. And thus, the Dohm was born!
